Types of CARA Internship 2026

1. Paid Internship (With Stipend)

Eligibility Criteria

• Open only to:
  • Postgraduate students
  • Research scholars
• Fields accepted:
  • Law
  • Social Work
  • Sociology
  • Psychology
  • Management
  • Social Sciences

Stipend

• ₹10,000 per month (for Indian students)

Internship Capacity

• Only 5 interns are selected at a time

• October to March Session → Apply in June

2. Unpaid / Summer Internship

Eligibility Criteria

• Students who:
  • Have completed Class 12
  • Are pursuing Graduation or Post-Graduation
  • Are engaged in research programs
• Important Condition:
  • Undergraduate students must complete at least 2 years of their course

Duration

• Minimum: 1 month
• Usually: 4 to 6 weeks

Interns work on real projects related to adoption systems and child welfare policies:

• Drafting and improving adoption procedures
• Monitoring child care standards

2. Research Activities

• Studying post-adoption outcomes

• Visits for ground-level study
