Sports Authority of India Internship 2026

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) offers year-round internship in May 2026 across various disciplines for students and recent graduates, aimed at building skills in Legal – Law, sports science, management, medicine, and related fields.

Internship Overview

  • Eligibility: Open to students from any government-recognised institutions in India or abroad. Undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students, or recent graduates, are eligible, depending on the internship discipline.
  • Disciplines Available: Sports Science (Physiology, Biomechanics, Nutrition, Psychology, Anthropometry, Biochemistry, Sports Medicine, Physiotherapy), Sports Management, IT, Law, Policy, Media, Architecture, Event Management, and Laboratory Sciences.
  • Number of Vacancies (2026 batch): 452 opportunities across various SAI Centres, NADA, NDTL, and MYAS headquarters.
  • Internship Locations: New Delhi (HQ) and SAI regional centres/pan-India locations, including NSNIS Patiala, NSSC Bangalore, NSEC Kolkata, and other specialised centres.

Duration Stipend

  • Maximum duration: Up to months based on the requirements of the centres.
  • Stipend: ₹20,000/month for postgraduate students; ₹10,000/month for undergraduate or media/event interns.

Application Process

  1. Visit the official internship portal: SAI Jobs.
  2. Register and complete the application form. Upload the following:
    • Proof of date of birth (Aadhaar 10th 12th certificate)
    • Educational certificates
    • Statement of Purpose (mandatory, including academic goals and how SAI will benefit from the internship)
    • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the academic institution (if enrolled)
    • Scanned photo and signature
  3. Applications for specific batches typically close on April 30, 2026, by 5:00 PM for the 2026 batch. Future batches open around June with joining dates mid-July.
  4. Application submissions should include synopsis of the proposed research or project topic, along with academic recommendations. Applications without synopsis will be rejected.

Selection Process

  • Evaluation is based on SOP, academic record, and, if required, an interview. SAI reserves the right to limit the number of applicants and decide the mode of screening.
