Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Nagpur has launched the Vidhi Sanjeevani Programme 2026, an initiative aimed at:
- Enhancing access to justice
- Promoting legal awareness in the Vidarbha region
- Strengthening the legal ecosystem
- Supporting undertrial prisoners and women inmates
This programme is contract-based and self-funded, supported by an external funding agency.
Key Objectives of the Programme
- Build the capacity of advocates through Continuing Legal Education (CLE)
- Provide structured legal aid services in prisons
- Improve quality and speed of legal assistance
- Address challenges faced by:
- Undertrial prisoners
- Women inmates
- Create a trained network of advocates and student volunteers
